The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), through its Project Office on Governance (UNPOG) and the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG), in collaboration with the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), offers the virtual course „Risk-Informed Governance and Innovative Technology for Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Resilience“.

Running over seven weeks from September 14 to October 30, 2026, the program aims to build capacities among public officials and key stakeholders to leverage emerging technologies and government innovations for enhanced disaster risk reduction and resilience.

The curriculum combines flexible, self-paced online modules with two live interactive sessions, providing opportunities for real-time engagement with experts and international peers. Through case studies, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants will explore practical applications for strengthening institutional resilience.

Participants who complete the course modules and attend both live sessions will receive an official certificate of completion.
