On 26 February 2025, the Climate Conscious Cities: Urban-Act Webinar Series will kick off its 2025 sessions with a webinar titled “Nature-based Solutions for Hot Cities.” This event coincides with the launch of the first Urban-Act Policy Brief of 2025, focusing on scaling nature-based solutions (NBS) in Asia and the Pacific to tackle multiple crises.

With 2024 recorded as the hottest year in history, urban areas are struggling with extreme heat, particularly in Asia and the Pacific, where vulnerable communities are most affected. Nature-based solutions, such as green infrastructure, offer sustainable ways to cool cities, improve air quality, enhance public health, and address broader urban challenges like water management and social equity.

This webinar will bring together experts, urban planners, and policymakers to explore cutting-edge research, innovative strategies, and real-world case studies on leveraging biodiversity for urban resilience. Join us to learn how cities can integrate NBS to combat rising temperatures and foster sustainable urban development.
