The European Union Disaster Resilience Goals emphasize the vital role of risk and crisis communication in civil protection. To address this, the ROADMAP2 project is hosting a webinar aimed at identifying and sharing effective communication practices in civil protection. The focus is on practices that enhance risk awareness, improve early warning systems, and mitigate harm caused by exposure to hazards. Key characteristics of these practices include accessibility, understandability, and the ability to counter false information. Examples could include effective warnings during disasters, risk awareness campaigns, and innovative communication tools. The goal is to facilitate knowledge exchange and adaptation of successful communication strategies across different socio-economic contexts, ultimately leading to better disaster risk management.
