A great part of urban expansion is occurring in cities already exposed to multiple natural hazards – such as earthquakes, floods, volcanoes, and landslides – often with little consideration for the city’s specific hazard profile, ongoing inequalities, or increasing impacts of climate change. The Tomorrow’s Cities Hub & United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG)’s learning team are bringing together communities, scientists, and city leaders in an online course to help regional governments shape more resilient futures. Participants can learn to engage msrginalized communities, apply advanced risk and impact assessments and define impact pathways.
