The Annual Conference of the Advisory Board to the Federal Government for Civilian Crisis Prevention and Peacebuilding on November 5th, 2024, will focus on the role of civilian crisis prevention amid escalating global challenges, including threats from Russia and conflicts in Ukraine, the Middle East, and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The conference will explore cooperation with autocracies, Germany’s global actions, and the contributions of civil society organizations in conflict resolution. Insights on early crisis detection, environmental peacebuilding, and mediation will also be shared.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Svenja Schulze, Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development. The event will be conducted in English, with simultaneous translation into German and can be attended in Berlin, as well as online.
