DKKV-Webtalks

Climate crisis, disasters, pandemics as well as other multiple hazards and cascading risks represent cross-scientific and societal challenges. The DKKV’s strong network of diverse actors from the operational and scientific fields of disaster risk reduction, risk research and societal risk and crisis management represents a unique selling point at the national level to ensure interdisciplinary exchange on current developments in disaster risk reduction.

We want to use our WebTalks as a discussion and scientific platform to give actors from science, practice and politics the opportunity for an interdisciplinary exchange. The aspects developed can then be actively introduced into the public discussion and thus support effective disaster risk reduction and crisis management. The DKKV’s goal of creating an interdisciplinary view of various hazards, risks and disasters and thus implementing modern, effective risk and crisis management is thus being pursued.

On this page, future WebTalks are announced as well as insights and summaries of past WebTalks. As most WebTalks have been held in German, you will here find a selection of those in English.
