The Warning Research Center of the University College London invites to a hybrid (online and in London) conference focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining effective warnings, for all.
Three key issues,
- the nexus of risk knowledge, montioring and warning services, dissemination and communication and response capability,
- working across sectors in international organisations, private sector, civil society organisations, local communities and academia, and
- people-centered warnings, public engagement and lessons learnt,
are considererd critical to ensure effective warnings for all hazards and human-made threats.
Key-note speaker will be Mami Mizutori, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction.
