The next Europe and Central Asia Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction (EFDRR) will take place in Budva, Montenegro, from November 6 to 8, 2024.
This platform will assess progress on the regional EFDRR Roadmap for Disaster Risk Reduction 2021-2030 and enhance the capacities of authorities and stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030.
Held every three years, the Regional Platform serves as a unique forum to address regional disaster risk challenges, bringing together governments from 55 Member States, civil society, and the private sector. This collaborative environment fosters knowledge-sharing and facilitates tangible commitments to reducing disaster risk.
In 2024, the Regional Platform will be hosted by the Government of Montenegro in collaboration with the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, supported by UNDP, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe.
