Vom 24. bis 27. März 2026 veranstaltet das Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction den Global Summit for Disaster Risk Reduction 2026. Die Online-Veranstaltung bringt zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen aus aller Welt zusammen, um sich zu aktuellen Herausforderungen der Katastrophenvorsorge auszutauschen und gemeinsam Perspektiven für eine stärker lokal verankerte Risikoreduktion zu entwickeln.
Angesichts zunehmender Katastrophenrisiken und beschleunigter Klimafolgen stehen insbesondere die Erfahrungen und das Wissen lokaler Organisationen im Mittelpunkt des Summits. In interaktiven Sessions diskutieren Teilnehmende aus verschiedenen Regionen, wie lokal geführte Ansätze gestärkt, Zusammenarbeit gefördert und Erfahrungen aus der Praxis stärker in globale Prozesse eingebracht werden können.
Die Veranstaltung richtet sich vor allem an zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen, die in der Katastrophenvorsorge und Resilienzstärkung aktiv sind, und bietet Raum für Austausch, Vernetzung und gemeinsames Lernen.

From 24th to 27th of March 2026, the Global Network of Civil Society Organisations for Disaster Reduction will host the Global Summit for Disaster Risk Reduction 2026. This online event will bring together civil society organisations from around the world to discuss current challenges in disaster risk reduction and to jointly develop approaches for more locally-rooted risk reduction.
In light of increasing disaster risks and the accelerating impacts of climate change, the summit will focus in particular on the experiences and knowledge of local organisations. In interactive sessions, participants from different regions will discuss how locally led approaches can be strengthened, cooperation promoted, and practical experience more effectively integrated into global processes.
The event is primarily aimed at civil society organisations active in disaster risk reduction and resilience building, and provides a space for exchange, networking and collaborative learning.
