The Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research will host a workshop on disaster impact attribution on 11 February 2025, building on a previous event from September 2023. The workshop, organized by the Horizon Europe project COMPASS, will bring together researchers to discuss methods and the role of prospective operational attribution systems. It will feature presentations on climate and impact attribution, updates on the COMPASS project, a lunch and poster session, group discussions on data and methods, and a keynote on the Copernicus Climate Change Service’s plans for operationalizing attribution, followed by a panel discussion on communicating results.
