The 5th webinar of the Making Cities Resilient 2030 (MCR2030) series Building Resilient Urban Systems will be taking place on Monday 18 December at 13:00 (CET).
The Building Resilient Urban Systems webinar series supports the implementation of the Political Declaration of the Midterm Review of the Sendai Framework, which was adopted by countries at the UN General Assembly in May.
The subject of this webinar will be the “application of digitial technologies for heatwave resilience“. Led by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with the United Nations Office of Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the webinar will focus on how local governments can apply digital technology to better protect their citizens and cities.
Focus lies on existing and potential digital-technology-based initiatives that inform decision makers, communities, and other stakeholders of appropriate actions and measures to reduce heatwave risk.
