The Welthungerhilfe e.V. offers a position as a Forecast and Modelling Expert. The Employment location will be home based with a duration of two years. The position includes regular international deployments with a regional priority for Sub-Saharan Africa to reinforce Welthungerhilfe’s engagement in delivering effective Anticipatory Humanitarian Action (AHA) programming. As Forecast and Modelling Expert for Anticipatory Humanitarian Action you will be responsible for all actions related to understanding and quantifying hazards as well as the development and application of hazard models, including the identification and application of trigger mechanisms within one of Welthungerhilfe’s strategic programmes.A university or polytechnic degree relevant to the position, e.g.Geohazards Engineering, Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Risk Management is assumed.Application can be handed in online via the online recruiting system until 21 May 2023.
