The Flood Emergency Community Rhine e.V. (HWNG), the Information and Advisory Centre for Flood Prevention (IBH) Rhineland-Palatinate, the German Committee for Disaster Risk Reduction e.V. (DKKV), the Flood Competence Center Cologne e.V. (HKC) and the Cologne Municipal Drainage Works (StEB) are jointly organising the workshop “Extreme Floods – Transition to Disaster – Exchange of Experience and Perspectives“, which will take place on 09 November 2023 in Neuwied.
The workshop is a free offer for decision-makers from the municipalities, with whom the potential for optimisation in disaster management, especially at the municipal level, will be discussed and possibilities for improvement in various areas will be identified. It will also be discussed who bears the political responsibility at the municipal level.
