On 29 July 2025, the DKKV office welcomed a group of bachelor’s students from the Department of Geography at LMU Munich on an excursion. After an introduction to the DKKV, the students played a serious game that highlighted the importance of preventive measures against natural hazards. They also discussed the lessons to be learned from the 2021 flood disaster in more detail.
Afterwards, the group went on a two-hour excursion on the topic of flooding in Bonn, first along the Rhine and then to Bonn-Beuel. The history of flooding in Bonn and the existing flood protection measures were discussed.
