The current issue of the journal Hydrology and Water Resources Management (HyWa) is now available online and once again offers a series of high-quality articles on current issues in hydrology, water management, and risk management practice. HyWa is an established, peer-reviewed journal published by the Federal Institute of Hydrology and serves as a platform for scientific findings and practical articles from research and application.
The new issue, Volume 6 of the 69th year (December 2025), subtitled “Adaptation to drought, heavy rain, and flooding: Results and perspectives of the WaX funding measure ‘Extreme Water Events,’” offers articles on the following topics, among others:
- Influence of controlled drainage on water levels and soil moisture (field study from Brandenburg)
- Development of a digital twin for urban water management infrastructure in Hanover
- Water management in the context of extreme weather (article on challenges and action planning for extreme events)
