To understand where the world stands in preventing extreme weather events from becoming disasters, the United Nations General Assembly has commissioned the mid-term review of the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction – a major international agreement adopted by 187 countries in 2015 to reduce disaster losses by 2030.

Over the next three days, the UN General Assembly will discuss this report. You can follow the conference live via this link. You will also find an overview of the course of the programme.
