The German Space Agency at DLR is inviting scientific institutions in Germany to participate in a survey on the demand for commercial “New Space” satellite data. The aim is to facilitate access to innovative satellite data for research, development, and teaching purposes.

As part of this initiative, the agency provides free access to data from the providers constellr GmbH, OroraTech GmbH, and Planet Labs. These include high-resolution optical imagery as well as land surface temperature (LST) data, which will be made available via the EO-Lab portal.

The call particularly targets projects focusing on sustainable development, environmental and climate policy, and AI-based Earth observation applications.

Interested institutions can submit their data requirements here until 16 November 2025.
