A time of crisis. After several waves of the Corona pandemic, forest fires and flood disasters, the Russian attack on Ukraine is now bringing civil defense back to the forefront. Cooperation between organizations, different levels and the civilian as well as military side seems more important than ever.
On October 24 and 25, 2023, the fourth online “Civil Protection Congress” will take place. Topics such as research projects in disaster management (security research), AI in civil protection and personal protective equipment will be discussed trying to find answers to various questions. Through the online format, participants will have the opportunity to actively participate in the discussions and network with each other through various tools. Two DKKV board members, Dr. Wolfram Geier and Prof. Dr. Reimund Schwarze, will also participate as speakers, as well as other exciting people from the field of disaster management, such as THW President Sabine Lackner.
