On November 8, 2023, the DKKV office once again received a delegation from Asia. This time various actors from the field of disaster management in South Korea. After the introduction of DKKV, the visitors played the serious game on prevention, climate change adaptation and early warning. Afterwards, our intern Lana Henzler presented the history and functioning of German civil protection. Benni Thiebes, Managing Director of DKKV, explained the German disaster warning system and reported on the work of DKKV in connection with the 2021 flood disaster, with a special focus on the lessons to be learned that were identified in retrospect from this disaster in order to be better prepared for future events.
