The University of Bonn’s Department of Geography and the United Nations University Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) offer a joint Master of Science in “Geography of Environmental Risks and Human Security.” This two-year program equips students with theoretical knowledge and practical tools to address environmental risks and human security issues through an interdisciplinary approach. Key areas of study include risk management, vulnerability, resilience, GIS, and disaster risk reduction, with a focus on the Global South.
The program features an international learning environment, opportunities to engage in research projects, and cooperation with the UN system. It is now possible to apply for next year until November 15, 2024.
