On October 17, 2025, the AHEAD project partners met at AFPCNT’s premises in Paris for a productive meeting. The event kicked off with a networking dinner on October 16, providing an opportunity for informal exchange. Hosts Frédéric Tatout and Christian Despres welcomed participants, including Reimund Schwarze and Ronja Winkhardt-Enz from DKKV.

The meeting opened with a welcome and an overview of objectives. Key agenda points included:

  • The Stakeholder Hub, which has been designed as an agile tool that can be expanded at any time to include additional actors. During the meeting, the current progress report, integration status, and open questions were discussed.
  • Based on the project report Mapping of relevant damage and loss databases and data reporting initiatives, a paper is planned for publication. The discussion focused on the current draft status, partner contributions, and the submission timeline.
  • In addition, IS Testing Data from France and Germany were presented. This served as a basis for methodological alignment and an in-depth discussion of the next steps.

In the afternoon, the focus shifted to Disaster Waste Management, addressing flood-related waste, case studies, and technical challenges. Additional topics included planning a web talk/workshop, reviewing the testbed status, and preparing for upcoming events such as the EU Science Preparedness Conference in Turin (November 4–6).

The meeting concluded with defining next steps, timelines, and coordination points. Participants emphasized the importance of collaboration to advance the project’s objectives.
