This year, after a two-year hiatus due to the Corona pandemic and Russia’s war, Crisis Management Exercise (LÜKEX) was conducted again. The scenario for this year’s exercise was a cyber attack on government operations. Over two days, the government practiced how to act in such an emergency, including all federal states as well as various ministries and federal agencies, including DKKV’s institutional member, the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK). Thus, a total of 60 actors from the federal government, the states and other organizations participated in this training. Now, the planning and implementation of the exercise will be critically analyzed and errors that occurred will be scrutinized in order to learn from them for the future. In the course of this, the BBK has already determined that the existing networks between crisis management in civil protection and the participating IT authorities and service providers at federal and state level could be consolidated and expanded.
