Within the framework of the Risk & Rescue GIS-Lab at the Institute for Rescue Engineering and Hazard Defence (IRG), the TH Köln is organising the third Summer School on “GIS in Disaster Management and Hazard Defence” from 2 August to 4 August 2023. Lectures with contributions from practice as well as interactive elements are planned where GIS topics, e.g. for the areas of fire brigades, situation maps, analysis of natural hazards & risks and impacts on critical infrastructures, are to be worked on. A detailed schedule of the event can be found in the invitation.
The event is aimed at interested students and doctoral candidates from all disciplines. In-depth knowledge of GIS is not required for participation, but would be an advantage.
