We are pleased to present the next issue of the DKKV newsletter. In this issue, we have dedicated ourselves to the topic of “space hazards”.

Our fascination with space runs throughout human history, from millennia of history and exploration to modern science fiction. However, living close to an active star, in a solar system full of old, fast-moving astronomical small bodies, on a planet increasingly surrounded by satellites and their debris, not only holds great fascination, but also a wealth of dangers. In addition to an introduction to the topics of space weather, space debris, asteroids, meteoroids and comets, measures taken by the European Space Agency (ESA) against space hazards will be discussed. In addition, experts will report on their professional experience in the field of space hazards.

We also provide an overview of current DKKV projects, provide literature references and event recommendations and inform you about developments at DKKV. Have we piqued your interest? Then click here to download the newsletter. Older issues can be found here.
