Im Rahmen der Urban-Act Climate Conscious Cities Webinar Series findet am 29. April 2026 das Webinar „Climate-Smart Housing for Resilient Cities“ statt. Im Fokus steht die Frage, wie Städte angesichts zunehmender Klimarisiken widerstandsfähigere Wohnsysteme schaffen können, insbesondere in informellen und benachteiligten Siedlungen, die häufig besonders stark von Hitze, Überschwemmungen und anderen Umweltgefahren betroffen sind.
Thematisiert werden unter anderem klimaangepasste Wohnkonzepte, naturbasierte Lösungen sowie der Einsatz datenbasierter Instrumente wie Hitzekartierungen und Flutsimulationen, um urbane Planungsprozesse stärker an Klimarisiken auszurichten. Expert:innen aus Wissenschaft und Praxis teilen dabei Einblicke in aktuelle Herausforderungen, Lösungsansätze und Erfahrungen aus Städten im asiatisch-pazifischen Raum.
Die Teilnahme an der Online-Veranstaltung ist kostenfrei, eine vorherige Registrierung ist erforderlich.

As part of the Urban-Act Climate Conscious Cities Webinar Series, the webinar “Climate-Smart Housing for Resilient Cities” will take place on the 29th of April 2026. The event will explore how cities can build more resilient housing systems in the face of increasing climate risks, particularly in informal and underserved settlements that are often disproportionately affected by extreme heat, flooding, and other environmental hazards.
Topics will include climate-adaptive housing concepts, nature-based solutions, and the use of data-driven tools such as heat mapping and flood simulations to better integrate climate risks into urban planning processes. Experts from academia and practice will share insights into current challenges, potential solutions, and experiences from cities across Asia and the Pacific region.
Participation in the online event is free of charge; however, prior registration is required.
