Die CIDR-Talks laden alle Interessierten herzlich zu einer offenen Vortragsreihe rund um Katastrophenforschung und Risikostudien ein. Internationale Expertinnen und Experten teilen dabei ihre neuesten Erkenntnisse und Perspektiven zur Bewältigung und Reduktion von Katastrophenrisiken weltweit.
Am 24. Juni 2026 spricht Dr. Ayse Yildiz in ihrem Vortrag „From Knowledge to Action: Why Disaster and Climate Education Often Fails and How We Can Fix It.“ darüber, warum Wissen über Klima- und Katastrophenrisiken häufig nicht in konkretes Handeln übersetzt wird und welche Ansätze es gibt, Bildungsformate wirksamer zu gestalten.
Die Teilnahme ist kostenfrei und erfolgt online über Zoom; eine vorherige Registrierung ist erforderlich.

On 24th of June 2026, Dr Ayse Yildiz will give a talk entitled “From Knowledge to Action: Why Disaster and Climate Education Often Fails and How We Can Fix It”, discussing why knowledge about climate and disaster risks is often not translated into concrete action and what approaches exist to make educational formats more effective.
Participation is free of charge and takes place online via Zoom; prior registration is required.
