We are pleased to present the new issue of the DKKV newsletter! In keeping with the height of summer, the newsletter is dedicated to the topic of “heat”. You can expect informative articles, exciting interviews and much more.
People in outdoor swimming pools and eating ice cream – media reports on extreme heat often present a trivialised picture. In reality, however, extreme heat is dangerous and can have serious health consequences, especially for older people. This trivialised portrayal leads to a false understanding and an underestimation of the risks. Heatwaves are on the increase in Germany and Central Europe, with temperatures far above the normal average. Heatwaves are among the deadliest weather events, as they develop gradually and often go unnoticed.

Our newsletter focuses on the effects of heat on health and the climate and features interviews with experts and guest articles. We also provide an overview of current DKKV projects, literature references and event recommendations and keep you informed about developments at DKKV.
