The renowned ZFBS-Congress will take place in Kempten on 24 and 25 September 2025. Under the guiding theme of ‘Leadership in Civil Protection’, the Centre for Civil Protection Leadership (ZFBS) will bring together leading experts from authorities, aid organisations, municipalities and academia to discuss current challenges and future developments in civil protection.
High-ranking representatives, including scientists from the Bundeswehr University and the Federal Office of Civil Protection and Disaster Assistance (BBK), as well as emergency services from Germany, Austria and Switzerland, will share their experiences and perspectives. The agenda includes topics such as the resilience of critical infrastructures, optimising cooperation between authorities and aid organisations, modern crisis management strategies and lessons learned from current disaster scenarios. In addition to the technical contributions, interactive formats such as workshops, roundtables and best-practice presentations offer a practical opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss current challenges in civil protection in greater depth.
