Development cooperation and humanitarian aid make a decisive contribution to human security, peace and democracy worldwide. This is why VENRO (Association of German Development and Humanitarian Aid NGOs) is campaigning to prevent planned radical cuts by the German government to development cooperation and humanitarian aid in order to preserve solidarity and cooperation. After all, international solidarity is particularly important in times of global crisis.
At international level, VENRO is campaigning for a globally fair tax system, for effective social security systems in the global South and for a fair debt relief policy, including at the UN Sustainable Development Summit in New York.
