The first Spring School on innovative drone applications, organized by the Association for Scientific Development of Air Traffic Management in Europe e.V. (ASDA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), and TU Braunschweig, took place from March 17 to 28, 2025. Eighteen students from seven different countries participated in this exclusive training program. The event was held at several locations in Braunschweig and Cochstedt. During the two-week course, the students received hands-on training in handling various types of drones and their application in research. Throughout the program, the students learned both theoretical foundations and practical skills in drone operation, including drone preparation and flight, autopilot programming, sensor installation, and conducting flight missions such as wind measurements and search operations. Experts from DLR, TU Braunschweig, and other professionals supported the participants throughout the program.
