The German government is currently developing the German Adaptation Strategy from 2008 into a new, precautionary climate change adaptation strategy. This is intended to set out long-term concepts or behaviors and the measures required to implement them. In autumn 2023, experts from the federal states, science and associations as well as citizens were involved in the ‘Climate Adaptation Dialogue – Mastering Life in a Changing Climate Together’. The report summarizes the results of the nationwide participation process with several formats and brings together the recommendations of the stakeholders and citizens for the seven clusters of the adaptation strategy.
