The Newsletter of the Research Forum for Public Safety reports on the latest developments in security research. In this edition, you will gain insights into current projects and events.
In recent months, the Research Forum has made exciting progress. The focus has been on psychosocial and organizational challenges during crises, as well as how society manages such situations. A highlight is the 3rd Knowledge Workshop in May, where the SifoLIFE projects will address the topic of “Crisis Communication”. This event will provide participants with the opportunity to network and develop solutions for effective communication during crises.
The SifoLIFE projects test safety-critical sociotechnical systems in municipalities, experimenting with new technologies and processes that strengthen resilience in times of crisis. The upcoming developments of these projects, particularly in the areas of early warning systems and crisis management, will make important contributions to improving public safety.
Other exciting events include the BBK Fachkongress in February, where the BeLIFE team presented interactive exhibits on crisis prevention, and the visit of the Critical Infrastructure Unit of the German Bundestag to the Zukunftslabor Sicherheit, where current research projects were presented.
