The new NAR portal (emergency dispersion calculation) has been activated since yesterday and enables independent calculation of the dispersion of hazardous substances into the atmosphere, such as in the event of major fires or chemical accidents. The platform offers a modern user interface that makes it possible to enter data and retrieve the results quickly. In addition, visualisations and GeoJSON files are provided directly, which can be integrated into your own systems. The NAR portal also offers customisation options of the cartographic material and the ability to track the status of all requested calculations. The results of the calculations help to quickly recognise potential health hazards and react in a targeted manner.

The NAR portal is accessible to civil protection stakeholders who are supported by the DWD, such as members of the WFVD or other authorised institutions. Access is provided via the civil protection portal FeWIS (fire brigade weather information system). Further information and training is offered through e-learning in FeWIS, webinars and events, such as with Marc Gistrichovsky from the Leistellen e.V. professional association.

The innovations for civil protection in the NAR portal are also due to the good cooperation in the DKKV workshop formats.
