With support from the project “Vulnerability, Preparedness, and Resilience in Crises – Data Infrastructures for the Study of Societal Crisis Phenomena” within the framework of KonsortSWD – NFDI4Society and in collaboration with a working group from the Council for Social and Economic Data (RatSWD), a new information platform for crisis and disaster-related data has been developed over the past few months: krisendaten.de.

The platform is now online and offers a valuable resource for scientific and societal engagement with crisis and disaster phenomena. It allows users to find and utilize data in the context of health crises, natural hazards, defense issues, and other societal crises from a social science perspective.

A central feature of the platform is an extensive collection of resources related to crisis and disaster data. This includes information pages, datasets, and survey instruments that are thoroughly described, categorized, and linked. The collection is continuously expanded and serves as a valuable information source for researchers and other interested parties who wish to engage with the causes, effects, and strategies for action in the context of crises and disasters.
