In 2023, the National Consortium for Societal Resilience [UK+] (NCSR+) published its strategy for promoting societal resilience, followed by two practice-oriented modules. The third module has now been published, focussing on how to diagnose and improve the resilience of a key sector to disruption. This module has been developed in collaboration with UK resilience practitioners, providers and essential services managers as part of the Northwest ‘Innovation Project 24/25’ led by Cleveland LRF and funded by MHCLG.
Module 3 focuses on promoting resilient essential sectors to support vulnerable people. It includes various materials, such as a briefing for resilience partners, a guide to working with essential sectors, a worksheet on structured resilience work and case studies for practical application. In addition, the recording of a webinar provides comprehensive insights into the experiences of key sectors, including analysing successful approaches and identifying challenges.
The handbook and all modules including materials are now available here on the NCSR+ website.
