On 13 March 2025, a state-wide warning day will take place in Rhineland-Palatinate for the first time. The aim is to test the warning systems, raise awareness among the population and test the processes in the new Civil Protection Situation Centre in Koblenz. At around 10:00 a.m., the warning is triggered via the Modular Warning System (MoWaS) – including via cell broadcast, warning apps and sirens. The all-clear is given at 10.45 am. The warning day complements the nationwide warning day in September and is intended to further improve the safety of the population.
