On 7th October 2024 from 5:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., the German Bundestag will host an expert discussion on the topic of ‘Civil protection in extreme weather conditions’, which will deal with the challenges of climate change such as floods, forest fires and heat waves. Experts from research, emergency organisations and civil society will discuss adaptation to changing climatic conditions, a society-wide approach to dealing with the consequences of climate change and strengthening the healthcare system. The event can be followed via livestream or attended on site at the Paul Löbe House in Berlin. The event is being organised by the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen parliamentary group.
