The next Europe and Central Asia Regional Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction will take place from November 6 to 8, 2024, in Budva, Montenegro.
The platform will assess progress on the regional EFDRR Roadmap for Disaster Risk Reduction 2021-2030 and enhance the capacities of authorities and stakeholders to accelerate the implementation of the Sendai Framework 2015-2030.
Held every three years, the Regional Platform provides a forum to address regional disaster risks. It brings together governments from 55 Member States and stakeholders from civil society and the private sector, fostering knowledge-sharing and enabling tangible commitments to risk reduction. The 2024 event will be hosted by the Government of Montenegro in collaboration with the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, supported by UNDP, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe.
