The German Aerospace Centre (DLR) was named the industry winner in the ‘Research and Development Institutes’ category in the ‘Role Model in Diversity 2024’ study conducted by the F.A.Z. Institute and ServiceValue GmbH. This award recognises DLR’s commitment to equal opportunities and a diverse corporate culture. The study is based on social media monitoring and a detailed questionnaire that assesses the integration of diversity and equal opportunities in the company.

Klaus Hamacher, Deputy Chairman of the DLR Executive Board, emphasises the company’s pride in this recognition and sees it as confirmation of its commitment to diversity. DLR sets clear targets, such as fixed quotas for women in scientific positions, and offers training and awareness-raising programmes to continuously promote diversity.
