The Initiative for Energy Efficiency and Climate Protection Networks (IEEKN) is celebrating its tenth anniversary and continues to campaign for greater energy efficiency and climate protection in companies. More than 440 company networks in Germany have already achieved considerable savings through voluntary commitment, with the aim of saving more than 15 terawatt hours of energy by 2030. The initiative is supported by 21 associations and the German government and is set to enter a third phase by 2030. These networks promote the exchange of knowledge and joint climate protection measures, which not only brings companies economic benefits, but also greater independence from fossil fuel imports. Federal Minister Robert Habeck recognised the success of the initiative as an important contribution to climate protection and sustainability.
