The UNDRR-ISC is revising the Hazard Information Profiles (HIPs) following recommendations from their technical report on Hazard Definition & Classification. The updated version will be launched at the Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction in Geneva (2–6 June 2025). The review process will take place from 1 December 2024 to 15 January 2025.
Experts and users of the HIPs are invited to participate in the review. Experts on the 302 hazards in the HIPs can register as expert reviewers, while others who use or plan to use the HIPs can register as user reviewers. This review aims to ensure the HIPs are useful to a broad range of users, including governments and stakeholders involved in risk reduction and management.
