The deadline for submitting abstracts for the EGU 2025 is just over a month away (15.01.2025). Especially the session NH10.1 “Multi-(hazard) risk assessments: Innovative approaches for disaster risk reduction, management, and climate change adaptation” contributions are still wanted. This session aims to share innovative approaches to multi-hazard risk assessment, particularly in relation to the characterization of risk components (hazard, exposure, vulnerability, capacity) and their application in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation. Topics include methods for the assessment and management of multiple risks, the interactions between hazards, the consideration of uncertainties and the development of early warning systems. The aim is to identify research gaps and promote synergies and opportunities for cooperation.
