The German government has now published its report on risk analysis in civil protection 2020 to 2022, which, in addition to the analysis, also addresses a possible realignment of civil protection. The report defines four key statements, such as that the resilience of the state and society to disasters should become a greater focus of policy. In addition, the resilience strategy adopted by states and municipalities in July 2022 is to be implemented more concretely. Furthermore, following the revision of the Civil Protection Mechanism, the EU plans to strengthen resilience at the international level, and synergies are to be generated between the EU and NATO resilience strategies in order to establish a national and international link.
