The best climate mitigation and adaptation project 2024.
The “Blue Compass” federal prize is the highest state award in Germany, which is presented as part of a competition for projects to adapt to the consequences of climate change. The Federal Ministry for the Environment and the DKKV member Federal Environment Agency are jointly looking for the best projects for dealing with climate impacts such as heat, drought and heavy rainfall until March 2, 2024.
The aim of the competition is to present innovative, effective and sustainable solutions for dealing with the effects of climate change. The project is intended for local authorities, private and municipal companies, research and educational institutions, associations, clubs and foundations. The project should be effective, robust, sustainable, financially viable, flexible and have positive spin-offs.
