The AHEAD Project’s Stakeholder Hub Formation Workshop, held on March 5-6, 2025, aimed to establish a solid foundation for the Stakeholders’ Hub, which is central to the AHEAD Project’s mission.
On the first day AFPCNT and DKKV came together to set the requirements and discussion points for the following day. The overall objective is to create the largest possible hub of stakeholders who may benefit from the project also connecting to ongoing efforts in the same field.
On the second day together with POLIMI and UPORTO the two hosting organizations AFPCNT and DKKV engaged in in-depth discussions on the current state of data collection, use, and reuse, identifying key gaps and opportunities. They also reviewed existing databases and data models, setting the stage for the development of a comprehensive information system. The workshop emphasized the importance of stakeholder engagement, categorizing different types of stakeholders to ensure comprehensive involvement, and formalizing agreements to manage the panel of stakeholders effectively.
The Stakeholder Hub was set up with a living character and the consortia started to fill it with possible stakeholders.
By the end of the workshop, significant progress had been made towards engaging with stakeholders through the Stakeholders’ Hub. The collaborative effort and shared insights from the diverse group of participants underscored the project’s potential to improve disaster data management.
