2nd NATIONAL FORUM: WATER EXTREMES as a consequence of climate change
After last year’s successful event, Klimahaus Bremerhaven, in cooperation with the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research (AWI), the Helmholtz Research Network Regional Climate Change and Humans (REKLIM), the German Committee for Disaster Reduction (DKKV) and the German Weather Service (DWD), hosted the “National Expert Forum: Water Extremes” and focuses this year on extreme drought and its consequences. After all, water scarcity is an issue that is also playing an increasingly important role in Germany in light of advancing climate change.
The Young Professionals (YPs) of DKKV were also part of the program with a workshop! The German reports of the event are linked below. On the right you will also find the German report on the “1st National Expert Forum on Water Extremes 2022”.
