DRF Luftrettung officially became a new institutional member of the DKKV in July. “We are looking forward to the exchange with other members and experts and to actively participating in disaster risk management. In the event of natural hazards such as floods, earthquakes or forest fires, we support the authorities and emergency services on site. Past disasters in particular have taught us the importance of effective cooperation and coordination with all partners of the other relief organisations and the authorities in order to ensure fast, seamless and efficient care for those affected,” says Florian Klinner, Head of Safety Management at DRF Luftrettung.
DRF Luftrettung, based in Filderstadt, is one of the largest air rescue organisations in Europe. The helicopters and ambulance aircraft of the non-profit organisation take off for their missions from 31 stations at 29 locations in Germany. In total, the DRF Luftrettung performed almost 40,000 missions in 2022.
