Erasmus Plus Projects
The DKKV is currently a partner in two Erasmus Plus projects. Both projects, “ERDAI – Strengthening Resilience through Digital Approaches and Inclusion” and “RESILIENT VOICES – Strengthening Vulnerable Populations through Risk Governance,” focus on the resilience of the population.

RESILIENT VOICES – Strengthening Vulnerable Populations through Risk Governance
The RESILIENT VOICES project, funded under the Erasmus+ KA210-ADU program, aims to empower disadvantaged populations by promoting their active participation in risk preparedness. Across Europe, climate-related hazards are becoming more frequent and severe, disproportionately affecting certain groups such as children, older people, people with disabilities, women, and people in socially precarious situations. These populations often have limited access to information and resources, making them more vulnerable to disasters and less prepared for them. The project aims to address these challenges by promoting inclusive decision-making processes that incorporate the voices of the most vulnerable people.
The initiative will run from September 2025 to September 2026 and will be led by two partners: Auxilia in France, which brings expertise in the areas of citizen participation and ecological transition, and the German Committee for Disaster Reduction (ger.: Deutsches Komitee Katastrophenvorsorge, DKKV), a major platform for disaster preparedness and knowledge transfer in Germany. Together, these organizations aim to bridge the gap between vulnerable communities and policymakers and ensure that risk management strategies take into account actual needs and constraints.
The project has four specific objectives. First, it aims to identify the challenges faced by vulnerable populations before, during, and after disasters, taking into account that vulnerability is not static but evolves over the course of the crisis cycle. Second, it aims to develop effective methods for informing and raising awareness among these groups about risks, using easily accessible and culturally sensitive approaches. Third, it aims to define the conditions under which risk management measures are accepted by those most affected, to ensure that the proposed solutions are both practical and socially legitimate. Finally, the project aims to stimulate discussion at the European level on the inclusion of vulnerable populations in risk management, thereby laying the groundwork for future cross-border cooperation efforts.

ERDAI – Strengthening Resilience through Digital Approaches and Inclusion
The ERDAI (Empowering Resilience through Digital Approaches and Inclusion) project, funded under the Erasmus+ KA210-VET program, is dedicated to strengthening the resilience of learners and teachers in school-based vocational education and training. In a time of increasing global uncertainty and crises, educational institutions face the challenge of not only imparting specialist knowledge, but also promoting the psychosocial resilience and adaptability of young people. The project addresses this issue at the interface between digitalization and inclusion in order to break down barriers and make innovative learning formats accessible to heterogeneous target groups.
The initiative will run from September 2025 to August 2027 and is supported by a consortium of three European educational institutions and the German Committee for Disaster Reduction (DKKV). Under the leadership of the Georg Kerschensteiner Vocational College (Germany), the Lycée des Métiers Entre Meurthe et Sânon (France) and the Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Władysława Broniewskiego (Poland) are working together to exchange best practice examples and develop new educational tools.
The DKKV contributes its expertise in risk and crisis communication as well as disaster preparedness. A particular focus is on providing content support for teacher training courses and developing serious games. By integrating playful approaches and realistic scenarios, complex topics such as climate change, preparedness, and crisis management are made tangible. In addition, the DKKV supports the transfer of project results to national and international networks in order to anchor the approaches developed in the project in the educational landscape in the long term.
The project has three main goals: First, to professionalize teachers in the use of digital and inclusive methods (diklusivity). Second, to promote the mental resilience of students through targeted educational offerings. Third, to establish a European partnership that promotes exchange across national education systems and develops joint strategies for crisis-proof vocational training.
