The EUMA Summer School will take place from 22 to 26 September 2025 at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy, as the final teaching activity of the EU-funded EUMA project. It offers 36 hours of instruction over five days and combines classroom lectures, a practical simulation, and a field excursion in collaboration with the Italian Fire Brigade. The Course is aimed at civil protection professionals, disaster risk managers, researchers, and postgraduate students interested in disaster risk management. The programme will address key issues such as EU and national risk assessments, new hazards, and the geopolitical dimensions of disaster preparedness. Participants will benefit from interdisciplinary insights and the expertise of leading international professionals. A certificate of attendance will be issued to those who attend at least 80% of the sessions; the application deadline is 25 July 2025, and the tuition fee is €100.
