The Competence Center for Nursing in Civil Protection was highlighted in the Ärzte Zeitung as part of the Berlin Nursing Congress 2025. The article emphasizes the need to better prepare nurses for crises and disasters and focuses on the initiatives of the Competence Center. These initiatives help to strengthen the resilience of nurses and improve their ability to cope effectively with crises.
The MODINA project is developing a module for nursing training that will also be integrated into further education and training courses. The aim is to use teaching materials and a simulation game to prepare nursing staff for crisis and disaster operations in order to ensure the care of vulnerable groups in civil protection. DKKV is an associated partner in this project.
